Obviously, this was the first thing I thought of...Being "still" for me is a very hard task...Even laying next to the love of my life I move around so much...I have so much energy it's a job for me to sit and "be still"...The only One that could really get me to "be still" is my GOD! After I got saved, it took me a long time to be able to sit at the Father's feet, "be still" and listen...I'm kinda thinking the LORD gets a headache when I enter the throne room...Ha! I praise JESUS for showing me how to "be still" and to listen for the next invitation...
Being still is always a challenge for us busy people, but God always speaks the most when we stop and listen.
ReplyDeleteI had that scripture in mind when I saw the challenge. Love it! And He does not get a headache nerd! But that was funny! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have that Scripture at the bottom of my post, too! http://virginiaknowles.blogspot.com/2012/03/be-still-p52-photo-post.html
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love the Third Day song that came on when I loaded your page. I hadn't heard that one before, but immediately recognized the voice!
A beautiful sentiment and photo! And yes, being still is hard sometimes - this past week I was forced to be more still than normal, it was a blessing!
ReplyDeleteSeveral of us have used that verse. It is perfect for the prompt. I love your composition, too.
ReplyDeleteYup...that was the scripture that came to my mind, too...but did I do anything with it? Not so much! Couldn't sit still long enough! :) Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love being still.... too much. LOL.
