A miracle right before my eyes (Part 3)

I continue to be filled with the thoughts of that evening…My emotions kept coming back to those ladies over the next few days…On my knees I went to pray and worship in thanksgiving to my sweet precious LORD… And then the LORD said, “Feed them.”  Once again HIS Spirit jumped inside me, and I found myself coordinating Christmas morning breakfast for them...  "I don’t have any money LORD, and there's 300 of them”, How is this possible?  "I fed 5000, I can feed 300 HE said." Whew!! Right, I’ll get right on that LORD :)

After sharing with just one friend what the LORD desired of me, there it was, Christmas breakfast paid for, IN FULL….No questions asked!! Praise my JESUS…OK, now to set up a team to get it all together…I made another phone call, there it was, Christmas breakfast team ready for serving…No questions asked!! I love my friends…You know who you are, my sweet, beautiful, amazing, friends…

Great! Now all I have to do is call the facility and ask if anyone else is coming in to serve them Christmas breakfast…And the answer is: “Nope, no one is” and “Yes, please do” :) This is the same girl I’ve been dealing with all along…She graciously asks me if we would be able to do Christmas Eve dinner instead of Christmas morning breakfast…She told me that a church was suppose to come in and serve Christmas Eve dinner, but was not able to raise up enough people for it, so if I could, she would rather Christmas Eve dinner instead…So here I am already a little nervous about coordinating this Christmas morning breakfast, and I hear my voice say, “Maybe we can do both!!” Oh, my gosh, did I just say that?  She says, “WOW, that’s incredible.”  I said, “Oh no, wait let me get back to you, but I think I can pull this off.”  I get off the phone looking up at the LORD thinking I didn’t say that LORD :)  "I fed 5000, I can feed 300...And twice."
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

OK, Deep breaths in, deep breaths out…Ok, ok, ok….

So long story short…I sent out an email for the needs of this Christmas Eve dinner project, and it was done…People from all over the Valley stepped up…5 different churches were involved…And it went so smoothly…It was such a sweet blessing to be on this end of it, and being able to  listen to the hearts of GODS people wanting to serve this facility…When we dropped off the food some ladies were praising JESUS and some were crying with tears of joy…We left with our hearts filled with the peace of GOD knowing these 300 women and children would be blessed…Whatta feeling?  I couldn’t wait to get up the next morning to serve them breakfast, and get to talk to them on the day CHRIST was born!

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35

There are so many blessings to this story I thought it would just be 2 parts…The LORD is amazing and continues to show HIS mighty hand in so many details I just can’t leave anything out…So there will be a part 4, which will be the end of this Christmas Miracle and it’s soooo good…Just give me a few days….Praise, Honor and Glory to the KING!!

A miracle right before my eyes (Part 2)

(Part 1-December 12, 2010 blog post)

Long story short…Hopefully…I get on the phone with the facility, and they give me a voice mail…Don’t they know who’s calling?  It’s the New Yorker that loves JESUS people!!! I call back every ½ hour…Finally, I get someone…I explain what the LORD wanted me to do…She tells me she normally needs a 2 week notice for something like this…I told her GOD is never early or never late, HE is always on time…She said she would do her best…The LORD also told me who to call to get a van that could transport the ladies back and forth…I called, she was available, and she was in on it…The tickets cost $20 per person…So I’m thinking, OK, I want to bless 10 ladies from there…I have 10 friends that could pay for one lady, and then donate a nice outfit for them…My friend with the van said to call my church because she heard someone wanted to pay for a ticket if a lady could not afford to go…I called the church, and my girl that runs the church said, “Yep, any amount of tickets needed this person will pay for, OH MY….GOSH!!! “Yir, kiddin??"

I get a call back from the facility, she tells me she has  6 ladies that will be joining me at the tea party...YAY!! She also told me not to worry about their clothes because they all have business attire for when they go on job interviews...OK , so let me get this straight…
GOD told my friend, to tell me about what her church did, GOD puts it on my heart, GOD gave me clarity with Proverbs 9, GOD provided the transportation, GOD provided the funds, GOD provided the clothing!!! All I had to do was transport them back and forth…
MIRACLE!!!

We pick up these precious broken ladies…They seem a bit stand-offish and uneasy at first, but that was to be expected…They were willing to open up and share their stories with us, as long as we kept prompting…My heart grieved for them…We get to the church, the worship was awesome,  and the message the LORD prepared for the speaker, was even better…The night was miraculous...6 broken ladies left the tea party a bit more different than when they walked in...JESUS met them somehow, some way, because their face expressions and body language changed!!  It was though the LORD touched them in a way I can’t explain, but I know HE did… I wanted to make sure before we left they at least had bibles, surprisingly they did, except for one…So whatta think I did??? Yep, she got a bible…She was so sweet when I asked her if I could give her one…She wanted to make sure I wasn’t buying it for her…I could tell that she was so grateful for her evening, and didn’t want to seem like she was taking advantage of me…She asked me if I wanted to sign her bible… I just melted…

So back in the van we went…I talked about  how I love to worship the LORD, and when I do, I feel the presence of the LORD upon me…One of the ladies said, “I feel so good tonight, I can feel HIM too.”  It brought joy to my heart… We dropped them back off, and said our goodbyes…Some of the ladies didn’t want to leave…I watched them walk back inside the facility, and I broke down…I cried out to the LORD in tears yearning and wanting them so bad to know JESUS as their SAVIOR…I thought it would be the last time I saw them…But, GOD had other plans….Again….I guess there will be a Part 3…Hee Hee!!

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future….Jeremiah 29:11

A miracle right before my eyes (Part 1)

When I first came to the LORD I often wondered why JESUS doesn’t show us miracles here on earth, in our life-time!! You know, like how Peter walked on water, or better yet, JESUS raising Lazarus from the DEAD!! Sooo many miracles while JESUS was here on earth living amongst us…I remember asking my husband when I just came to the LORD why miracles like that don’t happen today…I said, “Maybe more people would believe if they saw it for themselves right now in our life-time.”  He said, "People did see the miracles of JESUS while HE was here on earth, and still didn’t believe, so why would they believe now…Hmmmm, good point…My husband then went on saying how there are miracles all around us, all the time, right now…I pondered that for a while and thought, WOW he' s right...We read in Luke 15:7  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.  Salvation, that’s a miracle in itself!!  But even still, you know you’ve heard of healings, near death experiences, etc. etc…Gosh, what about Creation for pete's-sake??  It doesn’t always have to be tangible for it to be a miracle…I don’t believe in coincidences either, GOD is always in control of every single detail on earth. (Matthew 10:29) A miracle to me, is someone receiving a perfect gift, at the right time, from the Perfect GOD!

Here is one of the miracles GOD gave to me over the weekend....

Again, my quiet time has not been consistent for a few weeks…When I say that, I mean it’s not every day…Maybe 3x a week…Nit-good…I usually turn on the computer, make coffee, sit at the computer till coffee is done, then off to my time in the Throne room :)  I sat on the computer a little bit longer this particular day, and had to push myself to get my butt off the chair, and get in that room…On my knees I went….I get done praying for my husband and kids, and it hits me….The HOLY SPIRIT on me like no one’s business…I have this overwhelming feeling of excitement in my heart...The LORD told me to invite some ladies from this facility here in Vegas for battered and homeless women, to the ladies tea party at the church Friday night…A friend of mine had mentioned her church did this for some of the ladies from that facility, and it was a blessing to them…I thought it was awesome, and talked about it to 2 friends then forgot allll about it…It didn’t come to my mind until that Thursday morning when I was with the LORD…I couldn’t finish my prayer time because I’m thinking, "Gosh, I don’t have but 24 hours to prepare and coordinate all this," “LORD I need to get started now.”  I realized I still needed to get through my prayer time…I asked the LORD to help me get through it, and get in the Word….And so HE did…I finished praying for my peeps and family members...Still distracted, I just went to the Proverb of the day, the 9th…And oh how sweet it was….I’ll just put the verses that gave me the confirmation....
Proverbs 9:1-5…Wisdom has built her house; she has carved its seven columns. She has prepared a great banquet, mixed the wines, and set the table.  She has sent her servants to invite everyone to come.  She calls out from the heights overlooking the city. “Come in with me,” she urges the simple.  To those who lack good judgment, she says, “Come, eat my food, and drink the wine I have mixed….I cried with joy jumping out of my heart...I couldn't wait to get started on what GOD called me to do...

Part 2 of this story in a few days...Don't miss more of GODS miracles right in front of our eyes!! :)

His mind over my matter….

We did it…I’m sure most of you have heard…If you didn’t, I’ll remind you…
WE RAN A ½ MARATHON BABY (2 HRS. 30 MIN)!!!!
I’m finally recovering from it…My legs are still sore, but overall I’m back to normal…
It’s been a joyful experience I must say…It all started back in February when I slowly stopped working out with Rachel, well because she was having a bay-be!! That’s a pretty good reason, dont'cha think :)  Poor girl tried to work out till up until she delivered…Ha! Since I am not at all motivated to work out on my own, because I’m LAME, I started to run with Kim…She’s been a runner all her life…I have never ran…I smoked for 25 years, and quit about 4 years ago…I remember when we started, up this dumb hill that I still hate…It wasn’t but 20 seconds into our run, and I thought I was going to throw up my lungs…
Running outside was completely different than running on the treadmill…It was probably one of the hardest workouts I have ever tried…But, all in all, the end result was completing the  ½ marathon…Bada-bing!!
So we had these cool shirts made by none other than myself…Ha!  They were those professional kind, you know, iron-on lettering…Ha!  The shirts read, “Worthy is the Lamb” and under that “King JESUS”…Ever since we decided to do this ½ marathon I knew I wanted that on the back of my shirt…I mean, who better to run for than our Father in Heaven…Kim on the other hand was so excited to have her “I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me”  Philippians 4:13…And so, what did I hand her, “Worthy is the Lamb-King JESUS”, just like the one I made for myself…I was so bummed when she reminded me that she wanted Philippians 4:13, but there was nothing I could do… :(
She graciously accepted it...There is a point to all of this shirt making…We get there, and there’ssss, ohhhh, about 30,000 runners!! It was insane...The gun went off at 7:00am to start off the race, and by the time we got to the start line, it was 7:45am…Crazy!

We’re running, we’re running, we’re dodging people, we’re jumping over paper cups, hopping over clothing, people yelling, distractions everywhere…It definitely pumped us up at times, but after a while I just wanted desperately to be in the LORD presence…I had my music on trying to enter the Throne room, as I usually do when I run, but it seemed impossible this time…When we were training, and not running with 30,000 people, it was a precious moment for me to feel the LORDS presence…I was looking forward to it for the race, but it didn’t last as long as I wanted it too...I do know that the LORD was with us because before we started the race, 2 ladies in front of us had these more professional shirts on that read, Yep, you guessed it…Philippians 4:13!!  Kim and I cracked up and told the ladies the story about our shirts…Around mile 9 we started to get tired…Every time we felt weak, here came the ladies with the Philippians 4:13 shirts trotting along…What a sweet blessing from the LORD…It was like we got a kick start again, and remembered who we were running for…

People say this running stuff is really mind over matter…You can convince yourself that you can’t do it, and you probably won’t…Or you can convince yourself that you can, and hope you do…I say… It’s HIS mind over my matter…HE cares about every detail of our lives, and makes it HIS matter to tend with...Thank you JESUS for pulling us through...
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."  Hebrews 13:5
