P52 Week 5 - Shadows (366-34)

I had so much fun with this shadow challenge ....I can't say I made up this idea...I saw it somewhere and wanted to try it...It's OK, but anything to show CHRIST LOVE, I'm in!!!!  I used a hair tie and tied a string around it...I held it up near a light and took a few shots...I liked this one the best for the lighting...I went into Picnik and cloned out the hair tie and the string...That is why I had to crop and blur around the edges...
I'm not very good at using the cropping tool yet...And I don't think I'll get any better because PICNIK IS CLOSING DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm REALLY disappointed...Anyway, I still had fun...Whatta think?

  1. Neat idea, and I like where you have the focus of the heart on the love verses in 1 Corinthians.

  11. I was going to try this! I saw it done with a wedding ring to create the shadow of the heart--very well done-I am working on my cloning skills:)

  12. I think it is so neat! I love it. :)

Gt PSE10 when Picknic closes. Under a $100, easy to learn, and will do much more than Picknic. That is a drag, though. I used to use Picknic sometimes too.

    1. Didn't think to mention. . . try ipiccy.com. Very similar to Picnik. It's free and has a somewhat similar layout.

  15. I think it's perfect. I love that the verses reflect the shadow. He hides us under the shadow of His wings, too.

  17. Denise, I really like this. The lighting is nice and warm and rich. I know Picnik closing down will stink. But you can get older versions of Photoshop Elements (like 8 or 9) that are practically identical to the latest version for less than $50 on eBay. Just saying. ;)
